Candidates
for Emperor and Empress are members of the Imperial Sovereign Empire of
Arizona who have stepped forward to become the Monarchs of the next reign.
However, they are on voted on by the Community at large throughout the
state of Arizona. Anyone with a valid Arizona state issued ID is eligible
to vote.
Voting
Elections will be held Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 10am-6pm at the One Voice Community Center. Absentee Ballots
were cast online during the three days prior to the official voting date.
Please join us at Coronation, May 5th to see the newly elected Monarchs crowned.

Angelique Chantez Dubois If the name "Dubois" sounds familiar, it should. Angelique is the drag daughter of Empress 5, Zsa Zsa Dubois. Angelique has been a member of the Arizona Imperial Court for almost three years; and has held a line title for two; serving with Zsa Zsa and now as Princess to Rein 6 under Lady Christian. While she might be a newer face in the AZ drag community; Angelique is no stranger to performing, having done a great deal of community and college musical theater. She also carries with her years of experience in organizing and fundraising. Angelique is the alter-ego of Phoenix resident, Jim Ward. As a member of the court, Angelique quickly found her niche, performing in shows and events. In her first year with the court she organized and co-hosted the STUFF-A- STOCKING show in December 2010, raising money for AGAPE feeding program and Joshua Tree. In November, Angelique worked with Kenneth Anthony on the Fall Frenzy event where together they raised $1000 for Youth Empowerment Project. Angelique is also the Court's elected representative to Her Majesty's Parliament. Parliament is a group of representatives made up of members from the 69 courts across the US, Canada and Mexico. The group meets annually, to share ideas, discuss strategies and foster growth in the local courts. In January, Angelique traveled to Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada to represent our community, and continues to work with initiatives benefiting the court system and our local court. Angelique's goal in Rein 7 is to see community organizations grow as they continue to pull together, so events dove-tail to reach common goals. She desires to foster the image of the Imperial Court in the larger community as well, hoping to reach out with fundraising events for several non-GLBT charities in addition to building on the foundation the court has established in our community. She would especially like to see the Arizona Imperial Court continue to grow with new members joining the cause --especially younger people who have interest in using their talents for good. Angelique is excited and ready to "help newbies find a family" … just like she has.

Paula Sha Robert Tencate aka Paula Sha has been involved in female illusion for over 20 years. She has the distinct honor of being the only Female illusionist to have won Miss Phoenix Gay Pride twice. She was born in Chicago and Robert moved to Arizona in 1985 and has worked in the gay community since then. Some of Paulas accomplishments include Miss Gay West Coast, Grand Dutchess of The Imperial Court of Arizona Reign V, Princess Royale of reign VI. One of Paulas favorite things to do is raise money for her favorite charities. Some of her favorites include LADS, Heart Foundation, Arizona Cancer Charities and many others. She has been a friend of the court since the beginning of Reign I and joined the court during Reign III. She is honored to be the Princess Royale to Reign VI. |
