¨       Call To Order:  Meeting called to order at 12:15

 

¨       Meeting Minutes from December: Motion by Cris to approve the minutes with second by Don (passed).

 

¨       Treasures Report: Checking: $3,293.42  Savings: $2003.37

Old Business:

 

¨       Bios and Photos: This is supposed to be taken care of today in the general membership meeting.    

¨       Gay Pride: It was discussed that we want to be in the parade this year.  Monarchs to ride in the car, board and Candidates.  It was suggested by Cris to check with the Lambda Car Club on cars.  The line will be performing on the Community Stage for about an hour.  They would like to do Best Little Whorehouse in Texas with choreography. 

¨       Membership:  Ongoing process and everyone needs to be involved.  This should also be mentioned at each event as well as having applications available. 

¨       Turnabout Show: Held at Charlie’s raised $1,032.00 for Joshua Tree.  Lady Joy was given the check to deliver.  One suggestion was making the show shorter. 

¨       Cupids on Fire: Held at Cash Inn Country and raised $1,746.00 for the Wellness Center.  Very good show and all of the organizations that helped with this show were great.  The only suggestion was to split up the groups so that they didn’t perform at the same time and then leave. 

¨       One Voice Community Center: Held a meet and greet for all the heads of 501c3 corporations.  They had some speaker and One Voice has also handed out a couple of grants.

¨       Coronation Committees: We have begun setting up the following committees.  A board member will head each committee with help from anyone else interested.

¨       Coronation Tickets: Will be available online very soon for the following: Weekend packages ($65.00), Tables of 10 and ad sales.

¨       Set: Ken Barker will be coming in to Phoenix and staying on Don’s house to help put together our set.  Don bought the airline tickets and they came out less than originally thought. 

¨       Bus Tour Proposal: Don looking at different companies.  Paul from Marriott let him know who the hotel uses and Craig spoke with Sean at Friend’s about the bus company that they use.  He will let Craig know and he will forward to Don.

¨       Alaska Bird Water Party: Suggested that we hold this at Friend’s starting at approximately 3 or 4 and goes until whenever.

¨       Aspirants: Tabled pending applications, interviews, etc.

¨       Church for Voting: Spoke with Torrie and she will check the church calendar for Saturday April 28 for voting.

¨       Empress’ Ball: Everyone to be there on Saturday February 24 at 12 noon for decoration and rehearsal.  No time listed on posters, per website doors to open at 6:30 and festivities begin at 7:00 – 12:00 midnight

¨       Silent Auction Items: Please let Joe know if you have any items that can be used.  There are two items left over from Cupids on Fire from Daddy Wayne that can be used.

¨       Letters to State Officials: Craig will be writing these and will contact Joe for copies of those sent last year.

¨       Publication of our Books: On Hold Cris having problems with his computer.

¨       Vendor at Gay Pride: We will be manning a soda/water booth at Gay Pride all proceeds to go to the Court.  Don Hamill has sent information to Craig and will discuss in detail at the next meeting.

¨       MCC Gentle Shepherd ChurchFundraiser: All court members that can to help the church raise money on St Patty’s Day.

¨       Absolut Vodka: Joe has sent a very nice letter to the representative of Absolut outlining what we would like from them.  We are waiting for a response.

 

¨       Upcoming Events:

 

February: Empress’ Ball Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball. To be held on February 24 at the American Legion at 35th Ave and Thunderbird.  Regine and Ashley will be working closely with Jennifer on this event.  There will be 3 commands done that evening.

March: Sheriff’s Pink Party March 10 at the Bunkhouse to benefit Logan’s Playground.  This will also be the night that those running for Emperor and Empress will be announced.

March: Roast at Friend’s for Steve and Jennifer. Hosted by Liz St James and Truly LaFemme.  This event is set for March 24.

April: A Night at the Grand Ol’ Opry.  Hosted by Don Jeff and Dame Regine. This event to be held at The Rock and time and date to be announced at a later date.
