Old Business:

¨       Doug Giffore: Tax Accountant for Men’s Chorale, he needs us to go over the 1023 (501c3) forms sign and mail in with $500.00 check.  This will give our Corporation Tax Exempt status nationwide and locally it may show as a discount.  There is a meeting scheduled with him in his office on July 26 at 4:00.  Joe sent everyone the address and directions last week via email.

It was moved by Chris and second by Joe to move $500.00 from savings to checking to pay the fee for the 1023 to the state (passed).  Money to be put back into savings at a later date.

New Business

¨       Rainbow Festival: Johnny from FLAVAZ Magazine has offered the court to share The Flavaz booth at the festival.  Steve will check if there is a fee to do so.  We may also be able to hand out literature at the AGAPE booth.  Moved by Joe and second by Don to check with FLAVAZ &/or Agape (passed).

¨       Sizzle: Benefit for The Agape Network sponsored by Red Magazine and Gentle Shepherd MCC to be held at The Red Roof Inn on August 12, 2006.  Event to run from noon6:00.  There is a $10.00 cover.  We will look to the membership for volunteers for the event.  Ron to discuss this in the general membership meeting to follow.

¨       Website: Joe to email Jessica’s version of the website to Board Members.  Moved by Chris and second by Steve to allow Joe, Stephen Bloom and Boy Joe to check out different web carriers and report back to the board.

¨       Court Photographer: Chris moved and second by Michael to have Wayne Young be the photographer with the stipulation the he takes pictures of performers and audience members.  This way it will not just be the same people on the website all the time (passed).

¨       Halloween Ball: Friday October 13: This would be a 50/50 split with Flavaz Magazine and the Court, to be held at a warehouse provided by Kevin Andrews.  This warehouse will hold up to 600 people and there would be a cover of $25.00 per person at the door.  Everyone that enters must have a valid ID and everyone will be banded as to whether they are able to consume alcohol or not. Budweiser to help out as much as they can.  Since we are a 501c3 organization we should be able to get a 24-hour liquor license from the city.  We will have to contact Tambra Williams for security.  Committee to consist of Steve, Don, Johnny from Flavaz and Derrick from Budweiser.  Moved by Joe second by Don to go ahead with plans to get this moving.  We will also need to speak with Johnny if this is a CD launch party.  Some of the giveaways include Circle K gas for 1 year, Flat screen TV, and many more prizes from local organizations and bars.  This will be a possibility of the Court making a lot of money for the organization.

¨       Tom Simplot: There is a motion by Joe second by Chris to call Tom’s office to get more information on a Teen Halfway House in the city of Phoenix.  Mayor Gordon’s office supposedly matching dollar for dollar.  We had questioned whether this was a 501c3 organization.  Joe to contact Tom’s office for more information and bring this back to the board for more discussion (passed).

¨       Post Office Box Fee: Motion by Joe second by Don to approve $72.00 for the mailbox for another 12 months (passed).
