¨       Call To Order:  Meeting called to order at 12:10

¨       Meeting Minutes from September: Motion by Don to approve the minutes with second by Cris (passed).

¨       Treasures Report: Read by Cris: moved by Michael with second by Steve (passed). Checking: $2,609.19  Savings: $2002.02

Dues received from Michael, new application from Regine along with $10.00, $25.00 in tips from Rainbow Festival.

Old Business:

¨       IRS 1023 Form/Filing: Joe had notified the board that we needed and additional $250.00 for the IRS filing.  So the total was $750.00 instead of $500.00 which was originally sent.  Moved by Don and second by Steve to approve the additional $250.00 (passed).  Cris will mail out the check this week.

¨      Hellfire Ball: Was a huge success and there were a lot of positive comments from Regina and Judy about the ball.  We raised $1,550.00 for Regina’s charity H.O.W. (Honesty, Open-mindedness and Willingness).  Some things to look at next time is having our own person at the door.  We thought that we may have lost some money by just stamping and letting people in.  Everyone worked very hard for this money.  The crowd really seemed to get into the event also.  Costume contest was won by none other than Momma Judy.  She donated the $150.00 back to the court for the fundraiser and also raised $160.00 for the costume contest portion.  Casey the Washbuckler was second place and our own Grand Duchess Sandy was the third place winner as the Corpse Bride.

¨      Bios and Photos:  Don, Cris and Ron need to submit their Bios to Joseph for the website email Joseph at leatherboyaz@msn.com.  The photos have been taken for Craig and Michael by Wayne.  There are still some photos needed for the line members.

¨       Rainbow Festival Wrap Up: This was a fun event for members of the court to show their talent and to let the audience know why we became members.  The court started the festival out so it wasn’t a huge crowd but for those in attendance they enjoyed themselves.  Along with testimonials the court performed many of their production numbers done so far this year.  The MC’s were Steve LaFata and Craig Van Deen.  We raised $25.00 for the court from tips.  Don Hamill stopped by and very appreciative of us being there.

¨       Tom Simplot’s Office on Mayor’s Halfway House: Per an email from Joe the elections seem to have pushed this issue to the side for right now.  There was a motion by Cris and second by Don to table this issue for now and can be brought back up in the future.

¨       Name Tags, cards, Etc: All have now been paid for, cards are at Joe’s house.  Please contact him when he gets back into town.  Ron brought up that we could have new cards done, from another company, but it wouldn’t be the same quality and the cost would be $19.00 for 500 cards.

¨       Gay Pride Parade: It was suggested that we get together to have an informal meeting on ideas for either a float or convertibles.  Also looking for someone with a flatbed truck and what type of decorations.

¨       Agreements for Benefits: Michael is still working on this form.

New Business:

¨       Coronation Ads: Las Vegas full page ad is $110.00.  It was moved by Steve 2nd by done to do a ½ page ad for $75.00, this time around.  Also for Los Angeles that we go with a ½ page ad instead of full page.  We had also discussed that for the larger courts that we go with a full page ad and stay with ½ page ads for smaller courts.  We will approve ad sizes as they come up.

¨       Sheraton Crescent: Per email from Joe he has had some conversations with the hotel.  He would like to get together with John Nelson when he gets back in town. Craig would also like to be involved.

¨       Agape Turkey Drive: October 29nd – Thanksgiving Day.  Ron has pushed the start from Oct 22 to Oct 29 this year.  The tickets are still in the process of being made up.  There will be 13,000 tickets made and all will have our logo on it.  There will also be tow ads in the Echo for the Turkey Drive so people will see that we are a part of it.  The prizes for our internal contest: 1st place is a Coronation weekend package along with $100.00 cash from an anonymous donor.  2nd place will be 2 tickets for Coronation one provided by the court and the other purchased by an anonymous donor.

¨       Volunteers for Silent Auction at Diva by Diva: Craig had asked Steve to ask if there would be any volunteers from the general membership.  They would have to be there by 5:00 on Saturday afternoon.  The function starts at 6:00 and should be over around 10:00.  Attire is white shirt/blouse and black pants/skirt.  Craig needs to know ASAP to let Marc from the chorus know.  The volunteers would just need to stand behind the item and watch the bidding.

¨       Coronation Committee: It was brought up that we will need to meet outside of the Board or General membership meetings to discuss in detail what we would like to have done.  Also to set up the sub-committees and get volunteers for each.

¨       Pamphlets and Frames: It was brought up by Cris that we should have pamphlets at each function so people can read about the court and what it does.  Along with that Steve suggested that this should be more of a question/answer pamphlet.  Cris also stated that we should have a frame at each function stating “This event is Sponsored by The Imperial Sovereign Empire of Arizona.  Along with that if large enough we could have a poster for that event.  We should be keeping one poster for each event.

¨       Backups for Functions: When we are having a function in a bar, etc.  We need to make sure that there is backup for each position.  There are times that the original person may have to leave their post.

¨       Membership Drive: We need to start building the membership and come up with ideas on how to do this.

¨       Upcoming Events:

November: Leather Sock Hop (1950’s Theme) at Eagle Grand Duke Gaby and Grand Duchess Sandy Friday November 17th at 9:00pm.  To benefit Logan’s Playground.

December: Winter Wonderland at Nu-Towne Count Cris and Countess Jazmeen December 16th at 9:00pm  (Cris has purchased some items for raffles and auctions already and some have been donated).  To benefit Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

Cris is having 1,500 raffle tickets made up and you don’t have to be present to win.  It was also suggested to bring an unwrapped toy.

¨

Open Forum:

¨       Church will have seven sections of staging for their performances in November and December.  It will then need to be returned to Joe’s house.

¨       Adjourned: Motion by Cris second by Steve
