¨       Call To Order:  Meeting called to order at 12:15

 

¨       Meeting Minutes from October: Motion by Don to approve the minutes with second by Steve (passed).

 

¨       Treasures Report: Read by Cris: moved by Steve with second by Joe (passed). Checking: $753.19  Savings: $2002.36

Dues received $80.00 $25.00 from Rainbow Festival Tips and $1,550.00 for Hellfire Ball (This is H.O.W.).

 

Old Business:

 

¨       IRS 1023 Form/Filing: Additional $250.00 sent in and we will have to wait for 21 days from acceptance of the check. 

¨       Grants:  We will start looking into the writing of Grants to help out the Court financially.

¨      Leather Sock Hop: Great success and everyone had a wonderful time at The Eagle.  We raised $1,061.00 in cash and estimated another $400.00 in donated toys.  Don brought more toys to this board meeting so the total will be higher. 

¨      Bios and Photos:  Don, Cris and Ron need to submit their Bios to Joseph for the website email Joseph at leatherboyaz@msn.com.  The photos have been taken for Craig and Michael by Wayne.  There are still some photos needed for the line members. 

¨       Gay Pride Floats or Cars: Joe gave me a catalog with ideas for floats to draw from.  Michael Emery will check with some of his friends on cars to use.  This will also be brought up to the General Membership for ideas.  Keith from the Leatherlords is willing to help us with floats or a flatbed truck. 

¨       Fundraising Worksheet: This was given approval and given to Joseph to add to our website.  

¨       Turkey Drive: Tickets have been handed out and the winners will be announced at the next general membership meeting.    

¨       Pamphlets and Frames: Our handouts are being redone and should be available at the next function.  We could start using our Sponsorship letter. 

 

New Business:

 

¨       Coronation Committees: We have begun setting up the following committees.  A board member will head each committee with help from anyone else interested.

1.      Hotel – Joe and John Nelson

2.      Hospitality – Michael & Craig

3.      Sponsorship – Steve

4.      Set – Don

5.      Program, ad sales, ticket sales and printing _

6.      Protocol – (Joe asked to run & train us to take over ourselves)

7.      Bus Tour –

 

We need to discuss ticket prices soon since we will add Pay-Pal to our website beginning January 1st.   There would be one price online with an added $2.00 service charge to cover the cost, then a cost for those that purchase their tickets directly from one of the members directly.

In 2008 we will discuss on moving our Coronation to the second week in May to avoid Albuquerque’s Coronation.

¨       Coronation Voting: Voting for the new Emperor and Empress will be done by community vote this next year and be done one week prior to Coronation. 

¨       Posters: Posters should be 12” x 18” the Christmas poster is already online on our website. 

¨       Church Agreement: Craig was given the agreement for us to use the church for our meetings.  He will sign and keep a copy for our records. 

¨       Bestowing Titles: Joe has decided to move Ebony from Dame to Countess (with the withdrawal of Jasmeen) and put Regine in as Dame.  This will be made official at the General Membership meeting today.

¨       Upcoming Events:

December: Winter Wonderland hosted by Count Cris Cringle formerly at Nu-Towne now to be presented at Cobalt on Saturday December 16th at 9:00pm.  Ebony and Tiffany to help with the lineup. 

January: Turnabout Show to be held on Saturday January 27th at Charlie’s.  This will run from 7 – 9 with a suggested $5.00 cover charge.  This will be hosted by Duchess Lady Joy.  

February: Cupids on Fire at the Cash Inn February 10th.  This event is hosted by Prince Royal Don Hilton and Princess Royal Justice Prevails.  The beneficiary will be for Breast Cancer.

February: Empresses Ball ‘Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball. To be held on February 24 at the American Legion at 35th Ave and Thunderbird.  This would be a state function and the cost will be $20-25 per ticket.  Masks will either be for sale or included in the ticket price.  Regine and Ashley will be working closely with Jennifer on this event.  There will be 4 – 5 commands done that evening. 

 

Open Forum:

¨       Michael Emery has sent out an email with Entertainment Application for The Roadrunner Regional Rodeo to be held on January 12 – 14.  We are looking into doing either a group number.  Individuals can also sign up for the entertainment events on the 13th & 14th.  Also looking into booth prices since ours was given to us last year. 

¨       Las Vegas Coronation – who is going?  This will be brought up in the General Membership meeting.  Joe and Steve have been asked to perform at the Miss Gay Pride Contest at Charlie’s on December 3rd so they will drive back early after Coronation in Las Vegas.

¨       Coronation Ads:  Didn’t make it into Los Angeles or Las Vegas Coronation Programs.  Some to look at in the future are as follows:

Seattle: ˝ page $100.00 full page $150.00

New York: No ads

Denver: Will most likely do full page for April

Orange County: Will most likely do a ˝ page ad in April
